In my presentation at the Nantahala Outdoor Center regarding my book The History Of Whitewater Paddling In Western North Carolina, Eddy Weatherby came. I had never met Eddy but I had talked to him on the phone researching my book. At that time he told me that he and Martin Begun had paddled the river in 1973 but did not convey any more information about who may have been the first. At my presentation he said that he thought some of the "Tennessee boys" had been on the Green River Narrows before them. He mentioned a Mark Hall.
This blog is a brilliant idea,
Thanks to all that contribute!
Cheers,
Sam
